Brother Noland to Perform at Wailea Le‘a on Aug. 19

The Shops at Wailea will present Brother Noland, one of Hawai‘i’s most respected local artists, at the Wailea Le‘a event in this month on Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the fountain courtyard.

Brother Noland’s talents soar in his performance of traditional Hawaiian music, slack key and Hawaiian swing.

Last year, the State of Hawai‘i honored him with the “Lifetime Achievement in Music” for his passionate efforts to infuse Hawaiian music with innovation and creativity as it paves the way to new paths in music all around the world.

He was recognized as being the creator of “Jawaiian” (fusion of Hawaiian and reggae) music.

There will be complimentary menu samplings from Longhi’s, Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Lappert’s Ice Cream, Fustini’s Oils and Vinegars and Honolulu Cookie Company. Cos Bar will have their table set up in the area if you need a make-up refresh after a delightful treat.

A special five-hour parking validation is available for this event for $1 or a non-perishable food item. Proceeds go to the Maui Food Bank. The Diamond Parking table will be set up at the fountain courtyard from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
