The meeting is scheduled to run from 5 to 6:15 p.m. at the Lānaʻi Senior Center on 7th Street in Lānaʻi City.

On June 10, 2015, Governor David Ige signed a bill that allows Maui Region facilities including Maui Memorial Medical Center, Kula Hospital and Lānaʻi Community Hospital to partner with a private healthcare system.

The private-public partnership is intended to bring much needed financial support, resources and therefore better quality care and expanded services to the county of Maui.
