Maui Road Work: Old Haleakalā Hwy, Honoapiʻilani, Waiehu

The state Department of Transportation has three projects scheduled this week on Maui County roads, including projects in Kahului, Kāʻanapali and Wailuku.

In Kahului, weekend and night work is planned on the Old Haleakalā Highway with lane shifts in both directions between Aʻalele Street and Kala Road.

In West Maui, night work is scheduled between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. for resurfacing of the Honoapiʻilani Highway. This will result in a single lane closure in the southbound direction at the Kāʻanapali Parkway intersection.

In Wailuku, work continues on Waiehu Beach Road for bridge maintenance and repairs with alternating single lane closures between Kuhio Place and Eha Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Lane closure schedules are weather permitting and may change at any time without further notice.
