In past years, organizers encouraged men to be leaders in the ongoing effort to prevent violence against women by asking them to walk a “mile” in women’s high-heeled shoes.

Participants will have a chance to win prizes and special awards for the best costume, largest team and most walker sponsorships.  Walkers can register and put a team together at the event website.  Donations are welcome as well.

This year the walk with be located oceanfront with registration set to start at 9:30 a.m.
