Suspect Sought in Burglary of Kahului Restaurant

The Maui Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for questioning in an alleged burglary of a restaurant in Kahului.

Police say the unknown male depicted in the accompanying photograph is accused of unlawfully entering the Asian Cuisine restaurant on the morning of Aug. 23, 2015.

Police say the restaurant was secured at the time and that the suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money from within before fleeing the area.

Anyone with information regarding the identification of a suspect or information surrounding the incident is asked to contact the Maui Police Department at (808) 244-6400, Crime Stoppers at (808) 242-6966 or Detective Derrick Delos Santos at (808) 244-6437.
