Flood Advisory for Parts of Maui Extended to 4 a.m.

The National Weather Service has extended a Flood Advisory for parts of Maui until 4 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015.
NWS forecasters say radar images continued to show moderate rain with stream gauges showing elevated levels at Honokōhau, Waiheʻe and ʻĪao.
The NWS says locations in the advisory include: Kahului, Lahaina, Waikapu, Wailuku, Honokōwai, Waiehu, Waiheʻe and Nāpili.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory through 1 a.m. Thursday morning, Sept. 17, 2015.
Radar is showing moderate to heavy rain across windward slopes of both the East and West Maui mountains. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are being observed. This could cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Gauges on streams in Honokōhau and ʻĪao have shown rising water levels during the past hour.
Locations in the advisory include, but are not limited to, Kahului, Lahaina, Paʻuwela, Waikapū, Honokōwai, Haʻikū, Pāʻia and Makawao.
