The Shops at Wailea, home to more than 70 distinct boutiques, shops, restaurants and galleries, has undergone some recent changes.

New additions at The Shops include the opening of Island Gourmet Markets, a shopping spree giveaway through October, a simplified parking structure and a special Wailea Le‘a performance by Robert Cazimero.

The construction of Island Gourmet Markets has recently been completed, offering a convenient grocery location in Wailea. The store opened on Sept. 15, and carries a variety of produce, beer and wine, Pā‘ia Gelato and other local products, as well as Island Deli Kitchen items. Every Thursday and Sunday, the deli offers prime rib. The market also includes an Island Gourmet Coffee shop.

Last year, The Shops launched Wailea Le‘a, free, live, monthly entertainment under the stars.

This month, Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame musician and Kumu Hula Robert Cazimero will perform on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the fountain courtyard. Cazimero is known for his contemporary Hawaiian music and hula.

In addition to Cazimero’s performance, there will be complimentary menu samplings from Longhi’s, Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Lappert’s Ice Cream, Fustini’s Oils and Vinegars, and Honolulu Cookie Company. Cos Bar will have its table set up for a make-up refresh after a delightful treat.
