Breaking: Jose Reyes Arrested for Abuse of a Family Member on Maui

Former Mets shortstop and Colorado Rockies Major League Baseball player, Jose Reyes was arrested and charged for Abuse of a Family and/or Household Member while on Maui.

Police say the arrest at around 2:22 p.m. on Oct. 31, 2015, stemmed from an incident that was reported at the Four Seasons Resort in Wailea.

According to police reports, Jose Reyes, 32, of Old Brookville, New York and his wife were involved in an argument that allegedly turned physical and resulted in injuries.

Police say Mrs. Reyes was treated by medics at the scene and later transported to the Maui Memorial Medical Center for further treatment.

Mr. Reyes was issued a warning citation to not have any contact with his wife for three days.

He posted $1,000 bail and was released.
