KS Maui Hawaiian Ensemble to Perform in Lahaina
Lahaina Restoration Foundation will host the Kamehameha Schools Maui Hawaiian Ensemble on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., as this month’s free concert in front of Baldwin Home Museum in Lahaina.
Relax under the stars to the melodies and harmonies of these talented students.
The entertaining Kamehameha Schools Maui Hawaiian Ensemble is comprised of interested and qualified students who share their Hawaiian culture through mele, hula and oli.
Students learn an extensive repertoire of Hawaiian songs, dances and chants. The ensemble often serves as an official representative of Kamehameha Schools Maui at community functions and have performed at various venues in the Hawaiian Islands, Aotearoa (New Zealand) and Tahiti.
Limited seating is provided for kūpuna; blankets, mats and low beach chairs are welcome.
This ongoing Hawaiian Music Series program is supported by Hawai‘i Tourism Authority and the County of Maui Office of Economic Development.
