Napua Greig to Perform at Wailea Le‘a Dec. 16
Kumu Hula and Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winner Napua Greig will perform with her hālau at The Shops at Wailea’s Wailea Le‘a event on Wednesday, Dec. 16, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the fountain courtyard.
Growing up on Maui, Greig accompanied her mother to performances in her early high school years. She graced the illustrious Merrie Monarch stage as an ‘olapa for Kumu Hula Johnny Lum Ho.
In 2006, she launched her first solo recording and released Pihana in August of 2007. That debut recording garnered her six nominations at the Nā Hōkū Hanohano Music Awards; she won the “Best Female Vocalist” award.
In addition to this memorable performance, The Shops will offer menu samplings from the center’s restaurants and eateries —Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Lappert’s Ice Cream, Fustini’s Oils and Vinegars, and Honolulu Cookie Company.
Cos Bar will also set up a table in the area for those who need a lip refresh or a retouch.
A four-hour event parking validation will be offered for $1; proceeds will benefit the Maui Food Bank. A Diamond Parking validation table will be set up in the fountain courtyard from 5:30 through 9 p.m.
