North: Wave heights are expected to be head high today. The best breaks could get up to a couple feet overhead early in the day.

West: Wave heights are knee/waist high today.

South: Wave heights are chest/head high today. Only trace amounts out of the south-southwest.

Screen Shot 2015-12-24 at 9.05.38 PMA new slightly better swell is expected to fill in Thursday night into Friday. A new northwest swell is forecast to fill in Sunday morning and peak in the afternoon. Another reinforcement is expected to build late Sunday and peak early Monday.

A new south-southwest is expected to build this weekend and peak Sunday into Monday around waist/chest high.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
