Guy-Wires Down on West Kauaʻi Street

Maui fire and police crews are responding to a report of downed guy-wires on West Kauaʻi Street in Kahului between Lono and Puʻunēnē Avenues.

Initial reports at around 1:45 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 22, indicate that an area of grass was scorched and smoke was seen.  The wires were reportedly over an unattended vehicle.

Emergency crews are on scene, assessing the situation.  Isolated power outages were reported.
