Maui Police Chief Gets High Marks on Annual Evaluation

The Maui Police Commission concluded its annual review and evaluation of Maui Police Chief Tivoli Faaumu, saying he received “high marks” in all categories.

The evaluation was for the period from Jan. 1, 2015 to Dec. 31, 2015, and covers areas such as: leadership in continued department accreditation; standards of professionalism; and management of the department’s administrative and budgetary responsibilities.

“Chief Faaumu is commended for his outreach efforts to listen to community concerns and to convey departmental goals and programs to the public,” said Kelly Ruidas, Chair of the Maui Police Commission in a press release announcement.
