Maui Surf Forecast
North: Many spots are expected to run overhead to double overhead in the morning before fading. Some spots may even get up to triple overhead early in the day.
West: Wrap from the west-northwest swell affecting some western shores today. Spots along the western coast will vary greatly in size based on the amount of exposure. Ankle to knee high for shores with less exposure to the swell. Overhead to maybe double overhead for spots that get the exposure.
South: Wave heights are waist/shoulder high today early on, possibly up to head high later in the day.
Our current west-northwest swell is expected to ease Monday through Tuesday. A new smaller northwest swell is expected to fill in mid week around overhead to double overhead.
An early season bump is filling in Monday and peaking Tuesday before fading through Thursday for southern exposures. Overhead sets are possible with this swell at its peak. Another swell is on its heels for next weekend.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
