The Shops at Wailea has updated its parking program effective April 1 to ensure that the first-hour of parking for its customers is always free, The Shops stated in today’s press release.

Regardless of how long customers spend at The Shops, they will never be charged for the first hour. Parking validation is available through all the shops’ retailers for three additional hours with a minimum purchase of $25.

“We appreciate the input we have received from our retailers and customers,” the release stated. “We are continuing to listen to customer feedback and are always striving to improve the parking program.”

The program is being implemented to assist with monitoring cars that are parked in the lot, but whose occupants are not patronizing the center.

This means customers will have more open parking for their shopping needs.

There program includes three easy steps:
1. The first hour is free for those who need to make a quick stop for any reason.
2. All retailers will offer validation for an additional three hours with a minimum purchase of $25.
3. Parking ambassadors will be available throughout the center and in the parking lot to assist customers with answers to questions and help customers exiting from the lots.
