Non-Traditional Students Discover UHMC ABIT Program
More than 32 participants, many of whom were older, non-traditional students, attended last week’s “Discover ABIT” Open House at the University of Hawai’i Maui College campus.
Applied Business and Information Technology (ABIT), one of the four-year bachelor degree programs offered at the college, is a unique hybrid degree that emphasizes business, entrepreneurship and technology skills.
Participants met with faculty, counselors, the ABIT advisory board, and 2016 ABIT graduates, who shared information about their Capstone (final) projects, in which they created their own businesses based on the skills acquired in the program.
Registration is open now; learn more at maui.hawaii.edu/abit.
