AmeriCorps Seeks Applicants for Work in Maui County

AmeriCorps, a nationwide program serving local communities where there is a need, is accepting applications on Maui and Moloka‘i.

The Maui Economic Opportunity AmeriCorps Environmental program partners with conservation agencies countywide to provide assistance in working for the greater good of the Island’s environment.

Applicants must be at least 17 years of age. Applications must be permanent, legal US residents and eligible to work. Applicants are required to have a GED, diploma, or enrolled to graduate from High School.

Participants are held responsible for completing their required hours. They must be willing and able to work in extreme conditions, able to hike long distances and camp in remote areas.

A positive attitude and respect for the land, people and culture is a must.
