Whether you choose to celebrate your wedding day at the hui or another venue on Maui, the Hui No‘eau invites you to participate in a unique glassblowing experience with your significant other or a private ring-making class, bridal party and jewelry class with all of your bridal party. Casting for Artists – Level 2

Experiment with metal as Rea guides you along your path of discovery as you expand the possibilities of design by learning the basic elements of wax working and casting methods for the artist. Prerequisite: Beginning Jewelry or equivalent experience.

Introduction to Teen Jewelry & Metalsmithing

Teens will learn the basic skills they need to start designing their very own professional quality metal creations, including jewelry and small sculpture! Students will be introduced to cutting, drilling, piercing, and soldering and will receive an orientation to the incredible Hui metalsmithing studio.
This class is a prerequisite for Jewelry & Metal Designer’s Guided Open Studio.

Ceramics Club: Wheel Throwing & Handbuilding (
Ages 10 and over

Tuesdays & Wednesdays, four weeks • June 7 to 29 • 9 a.m. to noon
Cups, plates, bowls, tiles and more will be included in this introductory class. Students will create their own functional art as they explore the handling of clay using wheel throwing, handbuilding, glazing and texturing techniques. Students will enjoy this muddy, messy and fun art form.

Family Friday! Flower Power: Painting & Planting
Ages 3 to 12

Friday, June 3 • 5 to 7 p.m.
Bring the whole family to the Hui for a fun and creative Friday night and celebrate the summer solstice. Each student will paint and decorate their own terracotta pot and plant a beautiful succulent or houseplant to take home. Students will then choose from a selection of flower and veggie seeds and create whimsical plant markers for their garden. Throughout class, students will learn about the stages of plant growth, fun DIY gardening tips and how to properly care for their new plants.

Need-Based Youth Scholarships are Available
Hui Youth Scholarships provide tuition assistance for children ages 2.5 to 17 who demonstrate financial need and wish to participate in the visual arts. With a new class schedule online and Summer Camp Kaluanui right around the corner, there are plenty of opportunities for all Maui keiki to explore their creativity this summer.
