Clark Named Public Relations Director of Maui Visitors Bureau

The Maui Visitors and Convention Bureau today announced the appointment of Carol Clark as the organization’s new Director of Public Relations.
Clark most recently served as the Communications Director for the Maui Region of the Hawaiʻi Health Systems Corporation at the Maui Memorial Medical Center.
She is a veteran in the field of public relations and community outreach, with extensive experience in healthcare, hospitality, food and beverage and various activities throughout Maui and the state of Hawaiʻi.
In her new role, Clark will be responsible for promoting and sustaining Maui as a leisure and business travel destination. This includes creating mutually beneficial relationships between MVCB, the visitor industry and the public, through managing media relations, promoting special events, and maintaining brand awareness for the islands of Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi.
“We are delighted to have Carol join us,” said MVCB Executive Director, Terryl Vencl, “Her extensive experience in public and community relations and issues management will be invaluable in developing effective communication and brand development for the islands of Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi.”
Clark is a graduate of University of Hawaiʻi, Mānoa with a bachelor of arts in Journalism. Her son and daughter are both graduates of Seabury Hall and she is a long-time volunteer for organizations such as the Maui Arts and Cultural Center, Maui Youth & Family Services, Seabury Hall and the Maui Academy of Performing Arts.
