Maui 2016 Graduation Schedule

The high school graduation schedule on Maui officially kicked off last night with a commencement ceremony at King Kekaulike High School.  Tonight, (Friday, May 20, 2016) seniors at Baldwin High School will graduate in a ceremony set for 6 p.m. at War memorial Stadium.

Also this weekend, the outer islands of Lānaʻi and Molokaʻi, and the rural district of Hāna hold graduation ceremonies on Saturday.  Maui High School’s commencement is also planned on Saturday; and Lahainaluna seniors will graduate on Sunday.  A complete list of graduation dates and times is available below.

A total of 64 schools statewide including public charter schools are hosting commencement ceremonies, which run throughout the month of May with more than 11,000 students anticipated to be walking.

In addition to the public and charter high schools, the graduation ceremony for UH Maui College Summer 2015, Fall 2015, Spring 2016 and University Center Graduates was held on May 12, and a Molokaʻi Education Center held their graduation last week honoring four years worth of graduates.

Private schools graduation dates on Maui include: St. Anthony, May 27; Kamehameha Schools Maui, May 28; Seabury Hall, May 28; and Maui Prep Academy Friday the 27th at 6 p.m.

The Hawaiʻi State Department of Education is the ninth-largest US school district and the only statewide educational system in the country. It is comprised of 256 schools and 34 charter schools, and serves more than 180,000 students. King Kamehameha III established Hawaiʻi’s public school system in 1840.
