Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be around chest/head high to overhead for spots catching the trade swell.
West: Surf is waist/head high and up to overhead today out of the southwest. Spots from Kihei to around Olowalu/Lahaina will be smaller due to shadowing from the other islands.
South: Surf is waist/head high today with the best breaks getting overhead on the sets.
Our current south reinforcement will hold through Thursday and maintain wave heights along southern exposures before beginning to fade. Next week a series of south-southwest pulses are expected to filter in starting June 20th.
Quiet in the North Pacific at this time with nothing of note generating swell energy for the foreseeable future.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
