Central Maui Little League Intermediate All Stars Win World Title

The Central Maui Little League Intermediate (13U) All-Star team are the World Series Champions after defeating Seoul, South Korea in the title game this evening in Livermore, California.
The Maui team won 5-1 in the nationally televised game after defeating Florida 5-3 on Saturday for the US title.
They join the 2001 Maui Bronco team as world title holders from Maui.

Central Maui Little League Intermediate (13U) All-Star team won the US Championship title and advances to the World Series championship game after defeating Florida 5-3 on Saturday.
The Maui team plays Seoul, South Korea in the championship game today (Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016) at 8:30 p.m. EDT, 2:30 p.m. HST, after Seoul defeated Latin America for the other slot in the Intermediate Baseball World Series title game. Today’s game will be televised on ESPN2.
After winning the state title, Central Maui represented Hawaiʻi at the Western Regional in Nogales, AZ, where the team went 7-0, winning by a total margin of 70-13.
The Maui team advanced to represent the West in the Little League Intermediate 50/70 World Series taking place July 31 to Aug. 7, 2016 in Livermore, CA.
After dropping their first game 5-4 in 9 innings (7 innings regulation) to Southeast champion Florida, the Maui team came back through the losers bracket winning three straight games, defeating Southwest Champion Texas 14-4, Central Champion Indiana 11-1, Host District 57 Davenport, CA 10-0, and Florida 5-3.
