Residents have an opportunity to talk face to face with representatives from county, state, federal and non-governmental organizations about flood-related recovery actions.

There will be two Flood Recovery Forums held, one in Central Maui and the other in West Maui, both open to the public from 3. to 7:30 p.m.

The two locations are:

Central Area Flood Recovery Forum
Tuesday, Oct. 25
Velma McWayne Santos Community Center

West Maui Flood Recovery Forum
Wednesday, Oct. 26
Lahaina Civic Center

Those attending will have an opportunity to talk to department and agency representatives individually about the flooding and the recovery process.

At the same time, each department/agency will have a presentation scheduled for the audience.

Presentation Schedule

3:30 p.m. – Maui Civil Defense Agency
4:00 p.m. – US Army Corps of Engineers
4:30 p.m. – County of Maui Department of Public Works
5:00 p.m. – State of Hawai‘i Emergency Management Agency
5:30 p.m. – US Army Corps of Engineers
6:00 p.m. – County of Maui Department of Public Works
6:30 p.m. – Panel Questions
