Keʻalaʻiliahi ~ A Fashion Love Affair

Keʻalaʻiliahi: A Fashion Love Affair kicks off Merrie Monarch 2017 preparations for hālau Kekuaokalaʻauʻalaʻiliahi.

The dance troupe is raising funds for travel to the 2017 Merrie Monarch Festival in Hilo Hawaiʻi.

The fundraising event will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at the Wailea Beach Marriott Beach Resort & Spa.

The all-day affair will start with a high tea/talk story session with Whitney White, representing her mother Malia of Honolulu; and Manaola Yap, the designer for Manaola Hawaiʻi from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m..

That will be followed by an exclusive Manaola Hawaiʻi pre-shopping experience by those that attend the high tea session.

Keiki of the hālau will present an outdoor keiki hula show at 4 p.m. under the Marriott’s Mei Banyan Tree Court.

The event will conclude with an evening fashion event from 6 to 9 p.m. that will feature runway productions of Malia of Honolulu (modeled by the ladies of Hālau Kekuaokalaʻauʻalaʻiliahi) and Manaola Hawaiʻi.

The event will also include silent and live auctions, an arts & crafts marketplace, Hawaiian music, hula, and food/drink.
