Maui Business Brainstormers will present the “Mind This Hammer: Demystify the Myths of Your (non) Existent Business Plan” workshop on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m. at the Maui Research Technology Center. (See RSVP link at the bottom of this article.)

Plenty of businesses out there have experienced financial success without a plan. However, did it last?
Plenty of businesses achieve a level of success then stall at that level.

Could those businesses become even more successful if they have a plan that to help to sort out “what’s next” and “how to”?

Strategic planning helps a dream business avoid the stall for more lasting success. Therefore, MBB and partners invite the Maui entrepreneurial community to attend this free workshop.

“Short-term successes happen more often to people who start their business endeavor guided by their emotion, leaving for later the act of thinking things through thoroughly,” said the organizers. “However, in today’s extremely competitive and constantly changing market, only short-term success is dangerous. Any dream business must be prepared to survive fundamental changes.”

Guest presenter Wayne Wong will focus on helping attendees see how to make accidental successes more secure down the road.

This workshop is designed for anyone with or without a business plan, who is thinking of starting or has already started own business.

Brainstormers suggests “re-Start Smart-er!” in 2017, for those dream businesses that have not yet developed an actual business plan that can help to avoid costly—perhaps disastrous— mistakes later.

Space is limited, so sign up early. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own business plan (even in draft stage), pen, paper and water. Complimentary self-parking is included.
