Another WNW Fills in, New Swell Expected Soon

Maui Surf Forecast
North: Surf is head high to overhead at the best breaks some reefs could get up to several feet overhead in the morning. Showing best for Ho’okipa eastward.
West: Surf is knee/thigh high today for most westerly exposures with sets up to tummy high from time to time. Exposures with west-northwest wrap (and not blocked by our outer islands) will be bigger.
South: Surf is knee/thigh high today for most westerly exposures with sets up to tummy high from time to time.
A reinforcing west-northwest swell holds wave heights up to head high or even overhead for the best exposures. The best reefs could get up to double overhead still. This swell is forecast to begin easing in the afternoon Monday and down another notch on Tuesday.
Another round is expected later this week.
The SPAC is quiet but another small sweet is possible around the 22nd.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
