The Kīpahulu Visitor Center will close for four weeks of renovations beginning today, Monday, March 20, 2017.

Several floor beams will be reinforced, new flooring will be installed, and the interior walls painted. The restrooms, which are located in a separate building, will remain open.

During renovations, tents will serve as a temporary visitor center and as the Hawai`i Pacific Parks Association bookstore. Visitors will still be able to obtain park information, participate in cultural demonstrations, and buy books, magnets, and other park mementos. Purchases, however, must be made via credit card only. Cash will not be accepted.
