Staff Shortage Disrupts Kula Refuse Collection

Due to a staff shortage, residential refuse on part of a collection route in Kula was not picked up today.

The County of Maui Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, expects to have all missed pickups to be completed tomorrow, Wednesday, April 12, 2017.

Affected Areas in Kula include: Upper and Lower Kimo Road, Ōmaʻopio Road, Pūlehu Road, ʻĀinakula Road, Kulalani Drive, Lower Kula Road and all surrounding streets and roads.

Officials with the Solid Waste Division apologized for the inconvenience and thanked the community in advance for their understanding and cooperation.
