A High Surf Advisory remains in effect for south facing shores of all islands through Sunday afternoon.
The combination of higher than normal sea levels and king tides will cause coastal flooding along all shores. Flooding will likely be most extensive along south facing shores due to the large south
swell. Beaches that normally remain dry during high surf events along south shores will flood during this event since the south swell will be rolling in on top of the elevates sea levels. Ocean water may also inundate roads, docks, boat ramps and other shoreline infrastructure.
The south swell and the king tides will gradually subside through the middle of next week. Elevated sea levels are expected to continue, so the flooding threat may be repeated during the times of the highest tides over the next couple of months.
