More Hula Shows at Lahaina Cannery Mall in June
Lahaina Cannery Mall is adding more free Hula Shows to its weekly event schedule. Beginning on Thursday, June 1, 2017, Maui hālau will perform every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 p.m. as well as every Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. at Center Stage.
Also in June, Lahaina Cannery Mall’s first ever SING IT! Youth Singing Competition takes place on Saturday, June 24th at Center Stage from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. The contest is open to Maui residents 10-18 years of age. To register, email singitmaui@gmail.com with contact information including name, age and phone number, and indicate why you love to sing. Fifteen contestants will be chosen to compete. Winners will receive cash prizes: $1,000 for first place, $500 for second, and $300 for third. There will also be a “People’s Choice Award” and the winner will get their song professionally recorded in the studio by a #1 Billboard Artist & Music Producer.
Looking ahead, the 18th annual Keiki Hula Festival takes place on Saturday, July 15 and Sunday, July 16, 2017.
Other free family entertainment this month includes Maui magician Holden Mowat with his interactive, all-ages magic-comedy performance at Center Stage. The magic veteran from the award-winning Kupanaha Magic Dinner Show performs every Saturday at 12 p.m.

Lahaina Cannery Mall is Maui’s only fully enclosed, air-conditioned shopping complex. Open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (7 p.m. Sundays); Lahaina Cannery Mall has a variety of unique Island boutiques, restaurants, and specialty shops and is located on the north end of Lahaina Town fronting Honoapiilani Highway and Front Street.
