New Health Store Opening at Pauwela Cannery, July 15

A new health store will open in Ha‘ikū-Pauwela on July 15, 2017, that will feature health-conscious foods, local and organic fresh produce, juices, and a variety of grocery staples including fruits and vegetables.

The Pauwela Store will be located at the Pauwela Cannery where the video store was located for nearly 30 years, next to Baked on Maui.

The owners, Mike Grier and Junko Nagoshi, said they saw an opportunity to be of service to the community by providing convenient, accessible and health-conscious prepared foods.

The new store has been completely custom fit by Grier to maximize the space they have for their inventory so they can cater to the preferences of the diverse Maui community.

Nagoshi and Grier said they believe that living on Maui should mean being able to access produce conveniently and affordably. All of the fresh produce will be completely organic and locally sourced, with plans to continue to build their inventory of locally made offerings over time.

The store will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. For more information, click here.
