Hāna Landfill Partial Closure Due to Insufficient Staffing

Due to insufficient staffing, the Hāna Landfill will close at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.

The County of Maui Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division made the announcement today saying that the closure is necessary for the department to ensure safe operations and to meet the minimum State Department of Health operating requirements of the County’s solid waste permit.

Officials with the Solid Waste Division apologized for the inconvenience.
