Maui’s Caldwell Wins Mister Hawaiʻi All American Man 2018

Mayor Alan Arakawa congratulates Shane Dylan Caldwell on winning the title of Mister Hawaiʻi All American Man 2018 at a recent statewide competition held in Kīhei. Caldwell will know represent Hawaiʻi at the Mister America All American Man 2018 contest in Las Vegas, NV on Sept. 2, 2018.

Mayor Alan Arakawa took a moment at a community event to congratulate Shane Dylan Caldwell, 18, of Kīhei on his recent victory in the Mister Hawaiʻi All American Man 2018 competition held on Maui.

Caldwell moves on to represent Hawaiʻi in the Mister America All American Man 2018 to be held in Las Vegas on Sept. 2, 2018 at the SLS Hotel and Casino.

Caldwell continues to earn the funds needed for his travel and competition expenses by working up to 50 hours per week at a local resort hotel and hosting fundraising events.

“Becoming Mr. America will give me the ability to not only spread awareness about my platform but to be active in our communities to show that everyone should be confident in their own image,” Caldwell said in his GFM post.  “Self image to me is so important because we all have insecurities but we all have so much inner and outer beauty that we need to share with one another.”
