Due to recent weather conditions, the Maui Economic Development Board (MEDB) rescheduled their annual Ke Alahele STEM Education Fund Benefit Dinner for Saturday, Sept. 1. The event will be held at the Grand Wailea Resort with a silent auction beginning at 4:30 p.m. followed by dinner and a live auction at 6 p.m.

“We are disappointed, but there is nothing more important than the safety of our guests, students, volunteers, and staff. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and we thank our guests for their understanding and ongoing support,” MEDB’s President & CEO Leslie Wilkins said. “We hope to welcome everyone next week Saturday, Sept. 1, to a fun-filled evening that celebrates the achievements of our students.”

All proceeds raised from the event will support Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education programs for Maui students from kindergarten to after high school. The proceeds will also help MEDB’s efforts to build education and career pathways that benefit the Maui community.

More information on the MEDB Ke Alahale Education Fund can be found online, by calling 808-875-2300, or by emailing Cari Gerard at cari@medb.org.
