Jared Medeiros, APRN, received the 2018 State Award for Nurse Practitioners for his work at Lānaʻi Community Health Center. Medeiros, who was one of two nurse practitioners from Hawai‘i to receive the award, joined other awardees from each state to be recognized in last June’s American Association of Nurse Practitioners National Conference in Denver, Colorado.

“It was an honor to receive recognition for work that I love to do,” said Jared Medeiros, nurse practitioner at Lānaʻi Community Health Center. “Thanks to the support of the entire team at the Health Center.”

Each year the American Association of Nurse Practitioners recognizes supporters of nursing from across the country, in two categories: (1) nurse practitioners who have made outstanding contributions; and (2) advocates who have made significant contributions toward increasing the awareness and acceptance of nurse practitioners.
