Plan Your Route: Maui Road Work Through Sept. 21

The state Department of Transportation will conduct roadwork at various locations throughout Maui this week, resulting in lane closures and alternating lane closures through Friday, Sept. 21, 2018.

In East Maui, there is an alternating road closure on the Hāna Highway this week near Mile 7.8 in Keʻanae due to steel reinforcement installations. Work runs from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

In West Maui, there is a lane shift on the Honoapiʻilani Highway between Olowalu and Ukumehame due to striping work. Work runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

And in Kihei, the southbound lane of North Kīhei Road will be closed at mile 2 near Keālia Pond due to road maintenance. Work runs from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

All projects are weather permitting and subject to change without further notice. Motorists are advised to drive with caution in the area and plan alternate routes accordingly.
