Lower Honoapi‘ilani Road Closure due to Waterline Break

A waterline break on Lower Honoapiʻilani Road will affect traffic today, Friday, Oct. 5, 2018.

Officials with the Maui Department of Water Supply say Lower Honoapiʻilani Road will be closed today between Hoʻohui Road and Kepola Street while crews conduct repairs. Repair work is expected to be completed by 7 p.m.

Motorists are advised to follow traffic control and use an alternate route.

In addition, customers in the area are without water service at this time.

Customers may want to flush their waterlines for a short time this evening to ensure that no sediment has accumulated in their waterlines during the repair.

Customers are asked to call the 24-hour service line (270-7633) only if a water emergency occurs.
