New Maui Police Foundation Hosts Kick-off Fundraiser, Nov. 14
The newly organized Maui Police Foundation will celebrate its launch with a community fundraiser at Café O’ Lei at the Dunes in Kahului on Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 5 to 8 p.m.
The Maui Police Foundation is a nonprofit working to enhance public safety and develop stronger relationships between the community and the Maui Police Department. To meet their mission, the organization intends to supplement Maui County Police Department funding for special programs, equipment, training, youth outreach and activities the community needs but have been postponed due to budget shortfalls.
Individuals and businesses may opt to sponsor the Maui Police Foundation four levels of commitment: Platinum: $5,000, Gold: $3,000, Silver: $2,000, or Bronze: $1,000.
All sponsors will receive recognition at the celebration event, additional event tickets for their employees and guests, and promotions published in ads and event flyers. The deadline for inclusion in those publications is October 29.
Board President, Paulette Ramsay Wood said, “The Maui Police Foundation is making a difference in the lives of Maui County citizens, and we are encouraged by the enthusiasm of our community and local businesses. A big ‘mahalo’ to all who join with us to celebrate this grass roots effort.”
Tickets and sponsorships are available with more information online, or those interested can call (808) 495-8067.
