Lānaʻi Community Health Center Welcomes New Doctor
The Lānaʻi Community Health Center (LCHC) recently welcomed Dr. Jon Cisneros to its team of behavioral health providers. Cisneros is a doctor of psychology and a post-doctoral psychology fellow. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego and his master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the Hawai’i School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. He also completed class work in Applied Behavior Analysis at the Florida Institute of Technology.
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Cisneros join the Health Center’s team of behavioral health providers,” LCHCʻs executive director Diana Shaw said. “His wealth of knowledge and depth of experience will greatly contribute to providing mental health care and support to our community.”
Dr. Cisneros has experience in court-ordered assessment, severe mental illness, depression, developmental disorders, health psychology, and has worked with rural populations in Hawai’i. His APA accredited internship with I Ola Lāhui gave him the opportunity to work on Moloka’i for a year and collaborate with employees at Kalaupapa. The LCHC said Cisneros is passionate about evidence-based work with children and parents, as well as working with trauma survivors.
