Makawao Public Library Temporarily Closed

The Makawao Public Library is temporarily closed due to unforeseen building repairs.
Pending completion of the repairs the anticipated re-opening is on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018.
Before opening to the public on Tuesday morning, library staff discovered several ceiling tiles had unexpectedly dropped and broken apart. An assessment of the damage and repair work has been ongoing.
All programs scheduled during the closure are cancelled. Fines for books and materials due during the closure period will be waived.
