2018 Maui Toys for Tots Holiday Toy Drive, Dec. 16
Minit Stop is once again partnering with Street Bikers United Hawaiʻi and Azeka Shopping Center in support of the 2018 Toys for Tots Holiday Toy Drive.
SBU has participated in the US Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots annual campaign for more than forty years, significantly benefiting Hawaiʻi’s less fortunate keiki. Last year SBU collected more than 45,000 toys and more than $36,000 in monetary donations, making the holidays brighter for scores of Hawaiʻi’s children.
Community members are encouraged to join the 2018 Toys for Tots partnership by bringing new, unwrapped toys to their favorite Minit Stop Store or to any store at Azeka Shopping Center. Donation bins will be set up now through Dec. 18 at all locations.
To make a monetary donation instead, supporters can purchase donation tickets in denominations of $1 and $5 at any Minit Stop checkout counter. Customers purchasing donation tickets will have their names posted in the store and the funds raised will be used to purchase additional toys. Either way, all donations will benefit a local child in need.
Street Bikers United Hawaiʻi is a non-profit political, legal and social advocacy organization representing Hawaiʻi’s motorcycle community.
“Every year we are overwhelmed by the amazing support from our partners and the Maui community,” said Ron Panzo, President of SBU. “Without their support we could not achieve our goal of making the holidays happier for the keiki. We are truly blessed.”
Minit Stop Merchandising Manager Kim Robello said, “Minit Stop and ʻOhana Fuels are thrilled to give our annual support to the toy drive. Toys for Tots is an institution in Hawaiʻi and the smiles the toys bring to the children’s faces are incredibly gratifying to see. We encourage everyone to donate.”
