The 3rd Annual Paddle for Keiki takes place on Sunday, Dec. 16 at the Kīhei Canoe Club.  The un-timed, anything-that-floats, jungle-rules race is a fundraiser for children in need in Maui County.

Participants who make a minimum donation of $25 or bring an unwrapped toy will receive a free event t-shirt or keepsake ornament and brunch at Nalu’s.

The event is put on each December by Ron Panzo, president of Street Bikers United and owner of Nalu’s South Shore Grill, and Timothy Lara, founder of Hawaiian Paddle Sports.

Last year’s event helped bring toys to 200 children on Moloka‘i via the voyaging canoe Mo‘okiha o Pi‘ilani.
