Local nonprofit Maui Youth and Family Services will host a free event for Maui teens on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the student lounge of the University of Hawaiʻi Maui Collegeʻs Pilina Building. The event, called “The Gift of You,” will be open to all Maui youth ages 12 to 18.

With the help of funding from the Arbonne Charitable Foundation, the event will feature live music, cultural activities, inspirational speakers, free food, interactive booths from various community groups, as well as games and giveaways. Attendees will also get the chance to win an iPad.

“This will be one of the most exciting events for Maui teens this year,” Arbonne International Executive National vice president Autumn Shields said. “We are excited to celebrate the youth attendees and help them discover their gifts, abilities, talents and strengths. We want each and every one of them to feel special and get excited about doing productive and positive things in their lives.”

The eventʻs confirmed speakers and entertainers include Olympic volleyball athlete Annette Lynch, world-renowned ukulele player Derick Sebastian, and Hawaiʻi’s reggae ambassador Marty Dread.
