Swimmer Sustains Possible Neck Injury at Beach in Mākena

Wailea fire fighters responded to an adult male who possibly injured his neck while swimming at Poʻolenalena Beach Park in Mākena.

The incident was reported at 3:14 p.m. on Tuesday March 19, 2019.

When fire fighters arrived, they found a bystander helping to stabilize the neck of the injured male on shore.

Fire fighters were able to assist medics in extricating the patient to be transported to the hospital.
