Robbery Reported in Wailea Parking Lot

A 56-year-old man was reportedly robbed of his belongings while walking to his car in Wailea on Sunday night.

The incident was reported at around 10 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, 2019.

Police say the man had just gotten off of work at The Shops at Wailea and was headed toward his car, parked on the north side of the parking lot, when he was approached by two unknown male offenders.

According to police reports, the offenders demanded the man’s belongings and one of the individuals “hit the victim to the ground.”

Police say the victim’s bag was taken by the offenders, who ran away.

The victim reportedly suffered minor injuries.

A detailed description of the offenders was not immediately available.
