Amy Hānaiali’i Returns to Concerts at The Shops, July 17
The Shops at Wailea welcomes Amy Hānaiali’i, Hawaiʻi’s top-selling female vocalist, to Concerts at The Shops on Wednesday, July 17 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
In a continued effort to give back to the community, The Shops at Wailea supports a different Maui non-profit each month with 60 percent of the special event parking fees going to the selected charity.
The non-profit recipient for the month of July is Habitat for Humanity Maui, whose mission is to build quality housing and to renovate substandard housing on Maui in partnership with community volunteers and potential homeowners, with the ultimate goal of eliminating substandard housing and homelessness on Maui.
Hānaiali’i’s talents have garnered her 18 Nā Hōkū Hanohano awards and five Grammy nominations. Her disciplined classical training and powerful vocals, combined with her falsetto training and strict pronunciation lessons from her grandmother Jennie Nāpua Woodd, International Hawaiian superstar one of the original Royal Hawaiian girls in Waikīkī, has made her a cultural force in Hawaiian music.
Hānaiali’i’ has played for sold out crowds across America, Europe, Japan, China, and French Polynesia, and has performed alongside such legendary artists as Willie Nelson, Earth, Wind and Fire, Carlos Santana, Joe Cocker and many more.
Concerts at The Shops is a free, monthly concert series that is open to the public and features headlining musicians from across the Hawaiian Islands. This community event occurs on the third and fifth Wednesday of every month at the main Fountain Courtyard, with select tenants featuring special offers on event days.
The Shops’ signature events are designed to enrich the community through exploration and discovery in the arts and music, while supporting local businesses and non-profit partners. The four-hour special event parking voucher is available for $5 and can be purchased at the non-profit’s parking table.
