He is survived by mother Elsie Barton of Kailua Kona; sister Marsha (Robert Tiffany) Sudduth of Kailua Kona and brother Frank H. (Katherine) Barton Jr. Of Kailua Kona.

Austin Mereno of Kailua Kona, Hawaiʻi died on July 10, 2019 in Kealakekua, Hawaiʻi. He was born on June 10, 1948 in Los Angeles, California. He worked as a Land Surveyor for the County of Los Angeles.
He is survived by partner Gloria Palacio; son Erik (Jessica) Mereno of Norco, California; sisters Sandra (Mark) Beck of Ontario, California; Susanna (Daniel Swana) Mereno of Upland, California; and two grandchildren Rylee and Troy.
Private services will be held.

Service to be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at St. Theresa Church, 18-1355 Volcano Hwy, Mountain View. 9 a.m. Visitation, 10 a.m. mass.

August 3, 1947 – July 6, 2019
Mele Alopa Finefeuiaki, 71 of Kīhei, Maui passed away on July 6, 2019 under the care of Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born on August 3, 1947 in Kolonga, Tonga.
Mele is survived by her daughters, Selafina Mafileo (Tevita Mafileo), Mele Lavinia Ngalu Latu (Sione Laufoli Latu), Ofa Tau (Atimoa Tau), Susana Pahulu (Viniseni Pahulu); sons, Sione Tu’ilevu Tau (Phoebe L. Tau), Vili T. Ngalu, Paula Ngalu (Minette Ngalu), Tuuhedohe Ngalu (Ana Ngalu); brothers, Siupeli Tau (Latai Tau), Sione T. Tau (Siosi Tau); sisters, Kolove Kalapa (Tamano Kalapa), Teuila Vaha(Tali Vaha), Kalisi Pua( Masi Pua); 49 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Kahului on Saturday, July 13, 2019. Visitation to begin at 9:00 a.m. with services to begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku at 2:00 p.m.
Janet Tamayose
August 16, 1920 – July 3, 2019
Janet Tamayose, 98, of Haiku passed away on July 3, 2019 at Hale Makua in Kahului. She was born on August 16, 1920. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Janet is survived by her sons, Ron (Joyce-deceased) Tamayose, Roy Tamayose, Harold Tamayose and Gene Tamayose; daughters, Gale (Michael) Holley and Sherry Tamayose; brother Sidney Kohatsu; sisters, Ethel Miyahira, Jane Watanabe, Sue Inouye and Michie Shiroma as well as 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Private services were held.
Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Hale Makua- Ilima Wing and Hospice Maui.
Jesus Damaso
June 5, 1948 – July 1, 2019
Jesus Damaso, 71, of Kahului passed away on July 1, 2019 under the care of Islands Hospice. He was born on June 5, 1948 in the Philippines.
Jesus is survived by his siblings, Candido (Elsie) Damaso Jr., Felicitas (Valerio) Bonilla, Noenita (Rodolfu) Cruz, Leo (Jocelyn) Damaso; nieces and nephews, Eloise Dizon, Neal Cruz, Yvonne Voss, Elison Bonilla, Jennifer Scharer, Kathleen Cruz, Liza Escritor, Jason Damaso, Jovito Damaso, Janel Damaso, Judith Damaso, Jonathan Damaso, Reynulfo Constantino Jr., Ulysses Damaso and Annaly Damaso.
He is predeceased by his parents, Candido and Tereza Damaso Sr. Private services were held.
Pamela Kepani
July 31, 1946 – June 29, 2019
Pamela “BUZZY” Meyer Kepani, 72
Our loving wife to Matthew Kepani, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, had peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 29th, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 31st, 1946 in Wailuku to the late Marco Morris Meyer Sr. & Ida Kahalaomapuana Deponte and predeceased by siblings Marcia Gonsalves and Michele Galam. Survived by her only brother, Marco Meyer Jr.
A graduate of St. Anthony High School class of 1964, she retired from the Hawaiian Telephone Company after 25 years of dedicated service then became a contractor with the U.S. Postal Service for over 20 years until retirement.
Although she is no longer here, she will continue to live in the hearts of her daughters, Korinne (Lloyd) Corpuz, Kolyne (Gregory) Cabanas, Karilee Meyer (Joe Kaiwi Jr.), Keni (Albert “Pache”) Brittain; grandchildren, Kyle Corpuz, Chastyne (Kainoa) Aki, Colten Brittain, Kylee Kaala Corpuz, Colby Brittain, Cole Brittain, Chaycen “Kepa” Cabanas, Colson Brittain, and (1) great grandchild, Braxyne Aki.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Norman’s Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. with service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial is to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park Cemetery in Wailuku.
The family of Pamela “BUZZY” Kepani would like to express a heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Islands Hospice, MEO Transportation, Liberty Dialysis and the staff of Maui Adult Day Care especially to Lydia Torres & John Ilar for their compassionate care during her time here.
Mary S. Balinbin
September 17, 1945 – June 19, 2019
Mary S. Balinbin, age 73, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 19, 2019. Born in Marion, Virginia on September 17, 1945, Mary enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Hickam Air Force Base working in signals intelligence during the Vietnam War. She later had a long career cheerfully serving the West Maui community at Foodland and Safeway in Lahaina.
Mary is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joseph Balinbin; her sons, Gregory Balinbin, Lawrence (Angelina) Balinbin, and William (Lindsey) Balinbin; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Nathan Brisco; mother, Helen (Taylor) Brisco; and brother, James Brisco.
Mary loved Jesus and was always eager to pray out loud for others and to graciously share her favorite Christian books and videos with friends and strangers.
In retirement, Mary was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing her fresh fruits with everyone.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Maui Veterans Cemetery in
Makawao followed by a family and friends gathering in Lahaina.

Leroy Joseph Kaiwi, Sr., 68, of Hana, Maui, passed away on June 6, 2019. He was born on January 13, 1951 in Kipahulu.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Ballard Family Mortuary; service will begin at 7:30 p.m.; cremation will follow.
Leroy was an active member of Local Union 368, where he did a lot of masonry work. He is survived by his late wife Sharon Kaiwi; parents, Helene-deceased & Adam Kaiwi; Godmother, Aunty Ida Oliveira; sons, Leroy Kaiwi Jr., Curtiss “Kaipo” Kaiwi, Kelvin Kaiwi, Nathan Kaiwi, Erik Kaiwi, Bobby Kaiwi, Jonathan Kaiwi Sr., Shannon Kaiwi Sr., Sheldon Kaiwi, Quincy Beck, Leon Beck-deceased; daughters, Uilani (Charmaine) Beck, Verna Lee Merck (Kaiwi), Shanleelehua Kaiwi, HanaAli’I Kaiwi; siblings, Jacqueline Woodward, Valerie Kaiwi-deceased, Paul Kaiwi Sr.-deceased, Judy Kaauamo-deceased, Aileen Carvalho, Arnette “Bones” Kaiwi-deceased, Earl Kaiwi Sr., Roberta Kaupe, Lester Kaiwi Sr., Alvin Kaiwi Sr., Alvina Kaiwi-Buist, Paula Kaiwi, Patricia Pascua, Alan Kaiwi, Tammy DeLima; 44 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
