Juror questionnaires will be mailed out to 55,000 residents in Maui County starting on Monday, Aug. 5, 2019.

The mailers are sent out each August by the Hawaiʻi State Judiciary, and are sent to individuals who have a Hawaiʻi state driver’s license or are registered to vote in the State of Hawaiʻi. The names of individuals who will receive a questionnaire are selected at random.

Approximately 235,000 juror questionnaires are being mailed out statewide, including 85,000 to residents on Oʻahu, 70,000 to Hawaiʻi Island residents and 25,000 to residents on Kauaʻi. The questionnaires are used to help select potential jurors who may be eligible to serve in 2020.

Those who receive a questionnaire have 10 days to complete and return it to the Jury Pool Office in the envelope provided. Anyone who fails to respond may be penalized.
