Maui motorists are being advised of nightly closures of Hāna Highway (Route 360) between the Kailua Stream Bridge at Mile Marker 5.9 and the Mokulehua Stream Bridge at Mile Marker 28.2 in Hāna beginning Monday, Aug. 12, 2019.

Officials with the Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation say all lanes and all directions of Hāna Highway will be closed on weeknights from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. between Aug. 12 and 30, 2019. No closures will occur on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights.

The night work, which will involve geotechnical explorations of six bridges on Hāna Highway, is in preparation for the rehabilitation of the bridges.

First responders have been notified and will be allowed through the closure.
