97th Maui Fair Parade Applications Now Available

Applications are now available for groups interested in participating in Maui’s biggest parade.

The 97th Maui Fair Parade starts at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019. The parade begins at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College along Kaʻahumanu Avenue and ends at the War Memorial Stadium on Kanaloa Avenue. The Fairground opens at 5 p.m.

Those interested can register and submit applications online.

Participants must attend a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Alexa Higashi Meeting Room from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Completed parade application packets are due no later than Friday, Sept. 13, 2019 by noon. There will be no exceptions.

The Fair Alliance prohibits any display of commercial advertising (including, but not limited to, banners, posters, clothing, hats, pamphlets, pins, stickers, etc.) on or by any person, unit or part of a unit in the parade, with the exception of pre-approved units with commercial logos, and Fair sponsor units.

Hawaiian Airlines is the official sponsor of the 97th Maui Fair Parade.

The Maui Fair is an alcohol-free, smoke-free and drug-free family-oriented educational event that features an array of local food, entertainment, an E.K. Fernandez Joy Zone, plus horticulture, orchid, livestock, homemaking, photo and art exhibits and competitions.

Find unique and innovative products and services in the “Maui Fair Products & Services” tent. Plus, the Maui Fair Street Party returns Friday through Sunday at 6 p.m.  This year also marks the return of Pā Hale Hawaiʻi presented by Pūnana Leo o Maui.
